Wind tunnel-sculpted to integrate seamlessly into the overall design
concept, the MC20 Cielo’s retractable roof is also extremely speedy. It
only takes a rival-beating 12 seconds to slide gracefully away into the
rear housing, and can be operated at driving speeds of up to 31 MPH. The
hardtop PDLC glass roof can still give the impression of an open top and
the endless sky above, even when closed.

wind tunnel technology have helped sculpt the MC20 Cielo’s purposeful
stance and pure sporting soul. Thanks to PDLC glass unique in its class,
with the sky up above even when closed, you can switch from matte mode
to clear mode in an instant with the Cielo button.

Performance

Hellbent on a Heavenly Experience

Switching from coupe to convertible defines the transformation between
the twin souls of the MC20 Cielo. From the endless view of the heavens
above to the hellish howl of the Nettuno engine as the soundtrack below,
the MC20 excels without compromise in each configuration.

Known as Maserati Twin Combustion, it preempts the traditional firing of
the spark plug, creating not only fuel efficiency but also delivering
around 207 hp per liter. This technology bristling beneath the surface
of the MC20 Cielo is just waiting to be unleashed in any drive mode,
under any conditions.

Performance Redefined

Usually, when structural rigidity and weight are compromised, so are
handling and outright performance. Through stringent attention to
detail, there is no compromise whatsoever on the MC20 Cielo. With the
roof open or closed, no concessions have been made to a dropoff in
performance, ensuring an immersive and thrilling driving experience. The
quest for aerodynamic perfection has resulted in a fully integrated
extension of the overall design. The result is supercar performance,
propelling the MC20 Cielo to 100 km/h in just under 3 seconds and
comfortably to over 320 km/h.
